For many years, in cultures around the world, rebozos have been used by birthing women and their support team to help pregnant and birthing women to feel more comfortable, relax, help position babies, ease labor and back pains, conserve mother's energy and care for a newborn. It can be a great tool for doulas and midwives, making it easier to support laboring women while reducing physical impact on the birth professional's body!
Learn about the history of the rebozo, how to introduce it to your client or CBE student in a prenatal, CBE class or the birth space, and how to use a rebozo prenatally, inthe postpartum period as well as during the different phases and stages of labor. Learn all the doula tips for saving your energy and your back while helping the birthing woman get into positions that promote labor, encourage well positioned babies and reduce pain. This hands on class will leave you excited to try out the many rebozo uses during your next birth and share what you know with your clients, as you make a positive impact on their birth experience.
